"Movie Star and Top 20" in "Virgin Megastar"
Roula Saad or full name Roula Yousef Saad born in Tannoureen, Lebanon on August 25th, 1972 had her first breakthrough into the limelight after she has been crowned Miss Beirut in a beauty contest at tender age of 16.
Known as ‘bright eyes’ in early childhood, Roula complete her study in Fine Arts & Fashion Design, working with well known Lebanese designers Edward & Georges Chouiter.
Roula start her career with modeling for few years for local and international fashion designer. Having the honor of modeling Jean Paul Gaultier’s design Roula quickly climbs the ladder of success.
Moving one step further, Roula start her career in entertainment industry by starring in Syrian serial program called ‘The Four Seasons’ and Oman TV movie ‘The Return of The Treasure’. She was also one of the casts for lead role in the movie ‘Gharam Wa Intekam’.
As singing is her burning passion, Roula has expanded her wing by go one step ahead and joint the music industry. Her unique and exotic voice is one of the reasons Roula has been accepted by her fan throughout the Arab world. With exceptional style of singing, Roula is now soaring high into the music scene with first debut, remake of old song “Yana Yana” alongside the famous classical singer Sabah. The song was a big hit in 2006 and catapulted Roula Saad immediately in the forefront of Middle Eastern musical scene as one of the best emerging female singers of the year.
The song topped charts lists and achieved huge sales and its music video was aired on all music channels across Arab countries.
Roula's video clip in 2005 was inspired from her own suffering as orphan. The clip is about a star that has adopted an African boy from an orphanage and tried to change his former lonely days to a sweet lifetime.
Achievements
Roula Saad was able to achieve great success, and her album listed in the "Top 20" in "Virgin Megastar" in several Arab countries. Roula Saad participated for the first time representation through the film Room 707.
Despite her busy schedule she is also having her own TV show, El Haya Halwa aired in Egyptian TV channel.
