As the Internet increasingly drives the economy, today's market is quickly becoming more and more geared toward multinational participation and international transactions. The challenge for those companies that intend to thrive in this environment must consider globalization as part of their business development cycle. In fact, globalization has become the architecture in the domain of e-Business. Even for the smaller companies, it offers a more level playing field to compete with the much bigger and more financially sound competitors.
Our government is aware of the importance of e-Business and its contribution to our economy and growth. As such, many initiatives have been taken to continuously assist the small and medium industries (SMIs) to participate in this challenge.
The most recent initiative is the Multimedia Supper Corridor (MSC) e-Business Anchored Project offered by MDC starting July 2005. This initiative is specially developed to provide a comprehensive architecture for the SMIs to effectively participate in the global market. EC Partners Sdn. Bhd. (EC Partners), together with its strategic business partners namely Netbuilder Sdn. Bhd. and EC Academy Sdn. Bhd., was given the responsibility to pioneer this initiative.
EC Enabler, a theme given after this initiative, provides a total skill and knowledge training for the end-to-end e-Business framework provided by MDC. The program explains from the customer’s point of view how to plan and execute an e-Business function with the MDC-recommended globalization e-Business architecture, how it works throughout the development cycle, how it validates the soundness of this architecture, and how to manage and maintain individual e-Business entity. |
